Position Summary:
The Industrial Sanitation position is responsible for the nightly disassembly and cleaning of food processing equipment as well as the reassembly for production. Individuals work under minimal supervision and under tight timelines. Attention to detail and ability to work safely are very important to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Follow strict Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures/Guidelines
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Follow basic generic sanitation standard operating procedures: Remove excess soil, pre-rinse, foam, rinse, inspect, and sanitize
- Assembly and disassembly of equipment
- Working with harsh chemicals
- Handling large hoses, and cleaning equipment
- Work in hot/cold/wet environment
- Working with grinders, augers and blenders
- Performing work while on the floor, platforms, and 3-point ladders
- Working individually and with other team members
- Performing tasks in various areas of the plant as required
Experience/Competencies
- Good attendance record and punctuality required as well as proper adherence to break times
- Positive attitude and safety focus
- Heavy lifting required up to 45 KG
- Previous sanitation experience
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Strict adherence to WHMIS guidelines
- Strong attention to detail in a time sensitive atmosphere
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Mandatory overtime every other weekend
- Must wear personal protective equipment provided
- Ability and willingness to follow direction from Manager/Supervisor/Team Lead

The Line Worker position is considered General Labour. Line workers are responsible for examining, sorting and packing products to quality standards; lifting and moving products from line to line; clean-up tasks and other elemental activities related to food processing.
Responsibilities:
- Manually pack product into bags, cartons or other containers
- Remove finished goods cartons from conveyer and place on pallets
- Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Spread products before the oven for evenness & look for foreign material and blood spots
- Inspect and sort off-spec #2 products
- Lifting, dumping and stacking 10-40 lbs. boxes of product
- Pushing 200-500 lbs. bins from blending area to production line (bins are on wheels)
- Regularly inspect work environment for good housekeeping
- Communicate effectively with Team Leaders and other employees
- Repetitive tasks
- Standing in one spot for extended periods of time
- Working in hot/cold environment
Experience/Competencies
- Able to communicate effectively with teammates and leadership
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- Good attendance record required
- Positive attitude and safety focused
- Willingness to develop new skills
- Previous food industry experience including GMP’s and basic food handling would be an asset.

PART TIME LINE WORKER

Responsibilities:
- Plan and track shipments of finished goods according to customer requirements
- Ensures all legislative requirements are met for the department including health & safety, and food safety procedures
- Handle the storage and order picking activities of product in the warehouse storage facilities
- Ship and receive goods and product by use of forklift vehicles and other mechanical devices with respect to the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging in a safe and efficient manner
- Safely operate motorized vehicles and lifting devices after completion of training and certification
- Carry-out the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment assigned
- Receive incoming goods in accordance with all safety and quality standards
- Pick orders for shipping and load orders onto transport vehicles in a timely, safe and efficient manner
- Learn and memorize product codes
- Ensure orders are processed and appropriate handling of paperwork for all receiving, shipping, and storage functions is completed and distributed
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Must be able to:

Desirable skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a shipping/logistics role
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management
- Must have strong time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
- Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
- Excellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- RF experience an asset, however; not a requirement
- Work with a sense of urgency and capable of multi-tasking
- Forklift certified

- Willingness to work overtime including both weekdays and weekends on short notice
Position Summary:
The Blender is responsible for mixing products as per Standard Operating Procedures. Following strict adherence to addition of ingredients and tumbling speeds. You will work with blending equipment, tumbling equipment, injectors and grinders to prepare blends for further processing.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment setup, assembly and operation (setup includes grinder plates, augers, use of large tools)
- Utilization of specific production tools and equipment
- Adherence to strict operating procedures and food safety guidelines
- You must work SAFELY at all times
- Trouble shoot basic mechanical problems and escalate to maintenance through radio communication as required to minimize downtime
- A good attendance record is required
- Use of mobile equipment to bring product to the line
- Other relevant duties as assigned
- Work in hot/cold environment
Experience/Competencies
- Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instruction
- Ability to accurately document production results
- Strong mathematical skills required (use of calculators to calculate ingredient additions etc.)
